Collaborative Children’s Solutions Launch CCS-TV Subdivision

JAMESTOWN, NY – Collaborative Children’s Solutions launched a new subdivision this week, CCS-TV, an effort to interest Chautauqua County youth in video production and broadcasting. CCS-TV’s first production will livestream this year’s holiday celebration and parade in Jamestown, NY.

Owner Patrick Smeraldo announced the collaborative effort on Friday, alongside Justin Gould, Chautauqua County Government’s Media Information Officer.

The streaming service will debut during Jamestown, New York’s 2023 Jingle & Mingle Festival on Saturday, December 2, 2023; providing an opportunity for those unable to attend festivities in-person to watch from home, or anywhere around the world.

Students enrolled in Jamestown High School Videography Classes, and with the morning announcements team, will work alongside Gould, and WGRZ-TV contributor Jackson Hickey, to livestream the holiday parade, Christmas tree lighting ceremony and fireworks show.

“This new endeavor enhances our vision at Collaborative Children’s Solutions to help equip children with the tools and resources they need to unlock their full potential,”  Patrick Smeraldo said. “My vision with CCS-TV is to ignite the passion for broadcasting in our young minds of tomorrow by offering authentic, hands-on experiences. Highlighting the 2023 Jingle & Mingle Festival is the perfect way to launch our television plattform, which will document this wonderful community we all call home.”

Gould, who co-founded WNY News Now in Jamestown, New York in 2016 before entering the public sector working for Chautauqua County Government this summer, is volunteering his time and expertise for this initiative.

“I’m grateful for this opportunity to work alongside and help foster the next generation of film directors, production assistants, camera operators, video editors and television hosts,” said Gould. “My interest in the broadcasting/media field began in high school, I hope this experience will encourage our area youth to pursue this career path. The Holiday Parade specifically, was a highlight of my childhood and I’m blessed for the opportunity to give back to my community in this way.”

Students, alongside volunteer advisors, will livestream the parade starting at 6:00 p.m. The broadcast will be available online at ccsolutions716.com/tv, the CCS Facebook page or on YouTube.

In future years, CCS-TV hopes to connect with other area schools to provide opportunities for all children across Chautauqua County to learn about broadcasting and media production.
